A friendly reminder: It is unlawful for the owner of any animal to permit the animal to run at large. All dogs are required to be on a leash when walking on public streets, sidewalks, & in public parks.

Please make sure when your dog is outside that they are staying on your property & you are out there with them otherwise have a way to tie them up or in a kennel. We have had several complaints about dogs not being tied up and running after people walking by, which is not safe for anyone, or doing their business on other people's property, and no one wants to clean up after a dog that isn't theirs.

It is also recommended to make sure your dog has a name tag with a phone number on it, along with current rabies & distemper shots. If your dog does get away and gets impounded at the City, this is the fastest way to get them back home.
